Infrastructure

The existing research infrastructure is valued closed to 6.5 M Euros and consists in over 20 research equipment with an individual value of more than 100,000 Euros considered fundamentally for increasing the ICSTM of VUT chances of absorbing funds from:

  • national and international CDI projects
  • the institutional development fund (CNFIS-FDI)
  • contracts with other universities, institutes, agencies, organizations and economic agents.

HPLC system 1260 Infinity II (with RI detector, diode array detector, and FLD spectra)

The 1260 Infinity II LC System is a robust HPLC that offers the widest choice of modules for analytical HPLC and entry-level UHPLC, delivering the performance, reliability, and robustness you need for the highest confidence in your daily results. The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC System is part of the Agilent InfinityLab family, every component is designed to work together. Secondary detectors can supplement or replace the standard diode array detector to detect the analytes. It allows connecting modules from another Agilent HPLC series to achieve the desired analysis by HPLC. The Flex Bench system enables easy module exchanges and offers an ergonomic option to stack MS systems with the HPLC system.

Ultrapure Water Installation

Pure water with a resistivity of >1 Mohm-cm at 25ºC is categorized as Type 2 per ASTM D1193, and is commonly used for general laboratory applications such as buffer, media and reagent preparation, glassware rinsing, and supplying equipment.

Wastewater Treatment Installation

Wastewater treatment Installation is used to remove contaminants from wastewater and to convert it into an effluent that can be returned to the water cycle. Once returned to the water cycle, the effluent creates an acceptable impact on the environment or is reused for various purposes.

Ultrapure Gases Installation O2&N2&compressed air

This installation is a nitrogen and oxygen generator. The stationary plants use new standards in the on-site production of nitrogen and oxygen. With N2 and O2 production directly on site, companies avoid delivery bottlenecks and support the protection of the climate and the environment with the help of environmentally friendly gas generation. The generators produce nitrogen with a purity of 95% to 99.999% (5.0) and 99.9999% (6.0) at quantities of between 0.50 and 10,000.00 Nm³/h. The oxygen generators supply oxygen with a purity of up to 95% and quantities between 0.5 and 500 Nm³/h.

Preliminary vacuum pump ChemStar 1376N

ChemStar belt-driven Vacuum Pump is designed to tolerate harsh chemical contamination. Vital pump parts are corrosion resistant. The large oil reservoir with PTFE surfaces dilutes contamination and the low pump rotational speed lessens friction to reduce operating temperature and chemical effects. PTFE surfaces, fluorcarbon gaskets and seals, Nitrogen purge to cool and degas oil. ChemStar system comes with Gold Oil, a synthetic lubricant designed to minimize effects of chemical contaminants. – Low rotation speed for longer service life – Vital parts corrosion resistant – Large oil reservoir dilutes contaminants.
